ANAK NG BULKAN and other wonderful Filipino films

[adrotate banner=”1″]ANAK NG BULKAN is a Filipino film involving a giant bird that was known only by several posters to the folks who hunt down giant monster movies. But as luck would have it, one day a poster at Kaijuphile stumbled upon a blog that had pictures of the actual Anak Ng Bulkan film (from 1959), which showed that A- The film survived, B- The film is available in some format, and C- There is a giant bird in the film. All of that rules. What also rules is poking around on the blog are all sorts of photos from other fantastic Filipino films. Some of which I wasn’t sure if they existed, some I knew existed but had never seen actual photos of. Sadly, too many of them are just posters and magazine photos (although many of the magazine photos are new to me) and the films are still lost. A shame. In any event, here are some of the pictures and the relevant links, and you should probably poke around yourself if you are into that sort of thing (I know a few of you are!)
