Softcore actress Amy Lindsay appears in Ted Cruz commercial!

Amy Lindsay Ted Cruz Conservatives Anonymous

Wait, I meant to sign up for a Caribbean Cruise, not Ted Cruz!

It seems presidential candidate Ted Cruz has a problem, and that problem is being too lazy to Google the actors appearing in his commercials. Thus Amy Lindsay made an appearance in his Conservatives Anonymous spot, which is all fine and dandy except that she starred in a number of softcore movies. Cruz freaked out and yanked the spot, but not before it became a big new item (and he summarily released an Office Space parody video instead to try to cover this up!) We’re doing our part at TarsTarkas.NET to keep this in the news for two reasons: 1. Fuck Ted Cruz. 2. We’ve actually reviewed several Amy Lindsay movies, so this topic is relevant to our site!

BuzzFeed of all places broke the story:

“The actress responded to an open casting call. She passed her audition and got the job. Unfortunately, she was not vetted by the production company. Had the campaign known of her full filmography, we obviously would not have let her appear in the ad,” Tyler said.

Prior to the Cruz campaign pulling the ad, Lindsay told BuzzFeed News in a phone interview on Thursday that she’s a Christian conservative and a Republican. While she emphasized that she did not do hardcore porn and that she also appeared in non-erotic films, Lindsay said she thinks it is “cool” that an actor who has appeared in softcore porn could also appear in Cruz’s ad.

“In a cool way, then hey, then it’s not just some old, white Christian bigot that people want to say, ‘It could be, maybe, a cool kind of open-minded woman like me,’” she said of people supporting Cruz.

Though Lindsay initially told BuzzFeed News that the person at the campaign who hired her “absolutely knew everything that I had done,” she later called back to say that she realized that was not the case.

“I have clearly talked to the filmmakers and stuff and just to be clear, I assumed that they knew, but none of the filmmakers or the casting director knew about my complete filmography in the past that you’re talking about, so I was wrong in that statement,” Lindsay said, saying that she had assumed that an old friend of hers from an acting class who was present when she was hired was aware of her film history.

Amy Lindsay is rightfully peeved by the turn of events, so let’s ignore the fact that she aligns differently with this site and celebrate her filmography as reviewed here! We’ve encountered her three times: Bikini Airways saw Lindsay playing a former model turned lesbian who was looking for a rich guy to marry and take care of her. Insatiable Obsession featured Lindsay as a married woman plagued by a haunted house that held a secret. And Lust Sessions featured Lindsay as a love coach who helped her patients with their relationships, but also needed help on her own. (She was also on Star Trek: Voyager, which means she will live on forever in Trekkie circles regardless of her other films!)

Let’s keep Ted Cruz angry by keeping this is the news!

Glenn Beck slimes his way into movie production

Glenn Beck My Little Pony Brony

As you may have guessed from the numerous articles over the years slamming Glenn Beck, we do not think too highly of him here at TarsTarkas.NET. But Glenn Beck is good at one thing, and that’s grifting right wingers out of money. After getting booted from FoxNews for just being too darn crazy, Beck set up his own television station, GBTV, which eventually merged with his other media works into the channel TheBlaze (under parent company Mercury Radio Arts). Now Mercury Radio Arts is expanding to the world of film, a world Beck has toyed with before thanks to some one night only theatrical productions (such as Man in the Moon)

Now it will be full force, with Mercury Radio Arts having acquired The Studios at Las Colinas and prepping three films. The only details THR had on those films at the moment are one is set in ancient history, one in modern history, and one is faith-based. National Review had more information on two of them. One will deal with the real story of Christmas, and complain about Christmas being too commercialized. I don’t know, that sounds like Commie talk to me! Where’s the Free Market, Glenn? Another film will vilify Thomas Edison, which probably could be a cool story done by anyone else ever. But I will find joy in Glenn Beck making a hitpiece against a capitalist that he would be defending

In addition, other films are projected for longer term, including a film based on Beck’s book The Christmas Sweater, which was optioned to Sony, but they’ve bought the rights back.

Whatever the results may be, here’s hoping Glenn Back finds the same success in producing films that Rick Santorum found when he got involved in Echolight Studios and lost a lot of money as The Christmas Candle flopped. Then again, God’s Not Dead made $40 million, and Heaven is For Real just came out in theaters, so I don’t have a box office tally for that.

Being that this is Glenn Beck, the films will certainly be insane and somehow feature a lot of Glenn Beck, because it’s all about Glenn Beck for Glenn Beck. And they will be trainwrecks! Get your popcorn!

The Right Wing nuts at Liberty Council made a film – Uncommon!

Liberty Counsel was founded in 1989 by attorneys Mathew and Anita Staver, who are still involved today as Chairman and President, respectively. They handle a lot of “religious liberty” cases, which means they fight for discrimination against minorities such as gays under the basis or religious freedom. Liberty Counsel is closely affiliated with Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University. They are currently defending Russia’s anti-gay laws in the media as we build up to the Winter Olympics.

My favorite ridiculous thing Liberty Council has done is prevent a public library from giving out a “Hogwarts’ Certificate of Accomplishment” to students who read one of J.K. Rowling’s books under the basis that “witchcraft is a religion”.

Mat Staver is a guy totally obsessed with gay marriage and how it will turn everyone gay. Repressively obsessed, if you get what I am hinting. So of course he has a speaking part in the movie!

The film Uncommon is a feature-length, narrative motion picture starring Erik Estrada (CHiP’s), Ben Davies (Courageous), Irma P. Hall (Soul Food), and Grammy Award-winning Christian Musician Jason Crabb that highlights the struggles of a group of students at fictional Rosewood High School. Fighting overwhelming challenges, the teens struggle against political correctness to defend their privilege to worship, meet, and perform. Will months of constant bullying by the establishment defeat the production and dismantle their faith? Armed with expert legal counsel, these teens realize what it means to be . . . Uncommon!

I wonder just how cartoonish will the bullies be in the film? I’m guessing hilariously!

“Religious liberty in public school is certainly a fitting topic for our first feature film,” said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. “Many of the calls Liberty Counsel receives are from parents and students whose speech and religious viewpoints are being censored in the public schools.”

Uncommon premieres on February 1 at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia, and it’s free if you’re into that sort of thing. JC Films produced in association with Liberty Counsel.

Politisink.com is the place to be…

What started as a single random article making fun of some idiots on Resistnet has spawned into a multi-author collaboratorial event that basically took over the blog section of TarsTarkas.NET. Thus, TarsTarkas.NET Blog became the hot new place to talk about politics and what dumb things teabaggers were doing this week. We’ve been featured on CrooksandLiars.com, Huffingtonpost.com, and even helped bring down a crazy Freeper’s Congressional dreams. TarsTarkas.NET shatters dreams for breakfast. We’ve also gotten a crazy legal threat, proving we’ve made it!

As our ultimate goal is self-improvement, it has been decided that the best way for the political articles to prosper is for them to be housed on a blog focused entirely on the political stuff. Thus, Politisink was born! The domain was an older, failed attempt to do a politics blog back in 2006 that I abandoned when I went to grad school. I am sure maybe two people in the world know that, and one of them is married to me. Now, Politisink is repurposed as the new site that will keep an eye on crazy mofos and the crazy stuff they want to do to our country. The Wingnut Web and other political articles will now be posted there (though what has appeared here will remain as I am far too lazy to move everything over) while the TarsTarkas.NET Blog will go back to posting cult movie news, Karen Mok photos, Battle Beast things, and other weird stuff that I see fit (until some other random article balloons up into a cultural phenomenon and takes over the blog again!) Don’t worry, there will be plenty of cross-promotion so those who don’t start checking Politisink out right away can catch up, and for those of you who will skip right by this article because it doesn’t have a picture of a hot chick or posts from morons on message boards in it. Actually, let’s just throw in crazy picture for old times sake!

Frog King not care for your freedoms, only tasty flies!

That’s better! Now, the writers here will be joining us at Politisink, both dm and skiplogic are already contributing away. Soon I’ll try to add on a few more, because, why not? That’s how you become an internet powerhouse and

So in conclusion, check out Politisink.com, where politics circles the drain!

EDIT: Okay, I rewrote part of this because it sucked!

Arizona Nazis

Arizona is like the Roadrunner and Non-Racist America is Wile E. Coyote. That’s the only explanation I can think of for the recent activities of our friends in the Grand Canyon State.

First of all, the draconian Immigration Bill was passed, basically making it legal for cops to demand proof of citizenship from anyone they suspect might be an illegal immigrant. Which means anyone brown. Telling people to “show me your papers” is sooooooo American.

Then we find out the bill was co-written by a lawyer for an actual Nazi! Lawyer at FAIR’s Immigration Reform Law Institute Kris Kobach was the co-author of the Arizona law. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)founder and current board member John Tanton is a noted Nazi propaganda distributor.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has a lot of neo-nazi fans, he even poses with them for pictures!

Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s immigration raids have made him a hero, he even briefly considered running for governor before he realized that was a fast track to getting charged with crimes from the investigations now underway.

Oh, and he also forced a woman to give birth while in shackles. No wonder the teabaggers love him!

Repubican Arizona State Senate Majority leader Chuck Gray has been caught following Stormfront and a second hate group (ScarecrowWPWW) on Twitter. He claims to have no idea how that could have happened and is now unfollowing them. Right. Does anyone believe anything Republicans say anymore?

What America needs is Blues Brothers 3: I Hate Arizona Nazis.

Crazy Racist Wingnut Republican Tea Party Power Hour – Part III

Or something. I have lost count. It seems those darn teabaggers and Republicans are always causing trouble. This is some recent events that keep happening when I am trying to work or find high resolution pictures of bees so I can photoshop them so they are eating ice cream:

1 – Confederate History Month x2 – Both Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour have declared Treason In Defense Of Slavery History Months. I mean, Confederate History Month. So all those Patriotic Americans are flocking to support this celebration of treason. I am sure this is doing wonders for the Republicans trying to look not-racist. And neither governor bothered to mention slavery at all, which is odd, since it was the whole point of the war. The backpedaling then began…

To me it’s a sort of feeling that it’s just a nit. That it is not significant. It’s trying to make a big deal out of something that doesn’t matter for diddly.

Let’s celebrate Sherman’s March by reenacting it each year! You see, our cultural heritage is important and your feelings don’t matter for diddly….

2- Report about tea party shows that many of them seem to think that blacks and latinos are lazy. And the richer you are, the more you think blacks and latinos are lazy!

Approximately 45% of Whites either strongly or somewhat approve of the movement. Of those, only 35% believe Blacks to be hardworking, only 45 % believe Blacks are intelligent, and only 41% think that Blacks are trustworthy. Perceptions of Latinos aren’t much different. While 54% of White Tea Party supporters believe Latinos to be hardworking, only 44% think them intelligent, and even fewer, 42% of Tea Party supporters believe Latinos to be trustworthy. When it comes to gays and lesbians, White Tea Party supporters also hold negative attitudes. Only 36% think gay and lesbian couples should be allowed to adopt children, and just 17% are in favor of same-sex marriage.

For some happy news, the Tea Party is rating less popular than the IRS! (pdf link) – Suck it, teabaggers!

3- New York Teabagger backed Governor candidate Carl Paladino sent racist emails for months before someone bothered to alert anyone. Meaning all his teabagger buddies were perfectly fine with the constant stream of racist crap. And the bestiality! But it is all the Democrats’ fault!
Overview of the email forwards at WNYmedia, with more here and here

Don’t the the Teabaggers tell you that Carl Paladino (who has also fathered a child out of wedlock) isn’t a tea party endorsed candidate, as he was speaking at their rallies as little as April 8th and getting good press on FR!

Wah! Those nasty Dems made me send the Horse Porn!

4- Speaking of racist teabaggers, controversial tweets on the Twitter page of the local Springboro Tea Party have “triggered cancellations by several local and statewide candidates and elected officials”

This tweet:

Sent by a guy with a half-Latino son! The guy is Sonny Thomas, and his ex says: “Basically, it’s like he’s saying he hates his son,” said the mother of Thomas’ son, Alana Turner. Sonny Thomas is a classy guy who just got visitation rights back for said son after losing them for domestic violence shenanigans. Sonny Thomas is also blaming his racism on the Bee Gees! Yes, seriously! –

“As I am a lifetime music lover of all genres, I always have some sort of song that can fit almost any occasion or situation. Coincidently the song “Spicks and Specks” by the Bee Gees had been on my player. I made the reference to the song not stopping to think of the era that it was produced and taken out of context could be offensive to some people.“

Notice the pattern of blame here? It is never their own fault. Party of personal responsibility my butt!

5- Ohio teabaggers have been given their marching orders – don’t be racist! Also, don’t be drunk and don’t throw money at sick people.

6- Oklahoma lawmakers want to set up a Teabagger Militia! I am sure that won’t result in another federal building in Oklahoma with a big smoking hole in it.

7- Victoria Jackson is still crazy

8- In non-racism but just stupid news, the OnlineTaxRevolt is sending out emails begging for money so they can pay to get their April 15th march on TV.

Oh, and remember, all these many, many, many, many incidents are just a few bad apples!
