Serpent Lake gets a new trailer

Serpent Lake was announced here and here with a trailer that was more of a demo reel, and now it looks like director/writer Joel Trujillo has done some work has been done on the actual movie. That’s some….uh…unique CGI effects. Oh, well, looks plenty goofy and might be fun. I am not sure how this will get released, but we shall see…

The activeAnime website has posted the 97-second British theatrical trailer for Chris Nahon and Pathé’s live-action film adaptation of Mamoru Oshii and Hiroyuki Kitakubo’s Blood: The Last Vampire anime. The screenplay is credited to the Production I.G anime studio’s Kenji Kamiyama and Hong Kong’s Ronny Yu. South Korea’s Jeon Ji-hyun (under the English name of Gianna Jun) plays the main character Saya, a 16-year-old sword-wielding girl hunting down supernatural creatures. Terminator Salvation New Trailer

Yahoo has a the new trailer for Terminator Salvation. You get a better look at the motorcycle terminators, and there is a gigantic terminator at the end who is right out of Transformers. Maybe Optimus Prime will show up and save the day. There are still conflicting reports on if my governor or Linda Hamilton will make cameos. I haven’t been too keen on this movie, but it looks like it won’t be boring so maybe it will be worth checking out. I know I won’t get as much giant robot action as I want.

Pride and Predator

This looks freaking fan-tabulously ridiculous! Elton John is co-producing a film called Pride and Predator, which drops a murderous alien into the middle of a normal costumed Jane Austen period piece!

Variety has the details

Elton John’s Rocket Pictures hopes to make the first Jane Austen adaptation to which men will drag their girlfriends.

Will Clark is set to direct “Pride and Predator,” which veers from the traditional period costume drama when an alien crash lands and begins to butcher the mannered protags, who suddenly have more than marriage and inheritance to worry about.

Shooting will begin in London later this year. John exec produces, and his Rocket partners Steve Hamilton Shaw and David Furnish are producing.

“It felt like a fresh and funny way to blow apart the done-to-death Jane Austen genre by literally dropping this alien into the middle of a costume drama, where he stalks and slashes to horrific effect,” Furnish said.

John will supervise the music, as he does in each Rocket-produced film.
