The Good, the Bad, the Weird and I Saw the Devil director Kim Ji-woon is making a live-action Jin-Roh flick. Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade is an anime flick from 1999 that is set in a 1950s where Germany conquered Japan. There are riots and suicide bombers and fascist patrols and traps and double-agents and sisters of dead suicide bombers who may be more than meets the eye. A lot of other stuff happens and I didn’t want to read the long long Wikipedia entry, okay? Someone put a gigantic translation of a Little Red Riding Hood tale there because the film uses it as a theme. Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade is the third film in the Kerberos Trilogy, though the prior two were live-action. It appears from the source that this adaptation is just the third film. Mamoru Oshii created the original. The Korean name is Inrang (인랑), which means Man-Wolf.
