Friday, November 30th is the premiere on Nickelodeon of A Fairly Odd Christmas, the sequel to A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! Most of the cast is returning for this new adventure. As we learn,
The movie follows the latest adventures of Timmy Turner (Drake Bell) and his childhood friend Tootie (Daniella Monet), who travel around the world granting kids’ wishes. But when his good intentions actually result in kids’ wishes disappearing from Santa’s “good” list, Timmy must find a way to restore order and the children’s faith in Santa Claus before ruining Christmas forever
That’s odd, because the trailer shows Timmy accidentally murdering Santa and then becoming the new Santa a la The Santa Claus, except he must first get his own name off of the naughty list before the film can go all Ernest Saves Christmas.
Whatever way the film goes, it’s got killer ginderbread men in it, and that’s awesome, so I’ll definitely be down for some fairly oddness.
A Fairly Odd Christmas is a sequel to A Fairly OddMovie: Grow Up Timmy Turner, the Drake Bell starring live action adaptation of the cartoon series that turned out to be actually good! This time, Timmy Turner and his fairy godparents must save Christmas and get himself off of the naughty list! Daniella Monet is also return. That’s about all the info we have at this time, care of a Nickelodeon press release. No word on if Jason Alexander or Cheryl Hines will reprise their roles. But rest assured, we will be watching A Fairly Odd Christmas, and we will be Fairly Odd ourselves!
There is also going to be a third Fred movie – Fred Goes to Camp – but Fred can go die in a hole.

Thirteen years have gone by since Timmy Turner (Drake Bell) met his fairy godparents, Cosmo (Jason Alexander) and Wanda (Cheryl Hines), but nothing has changed for Timmy except for his physical age now being 23. He still lives at home with his parents, attends Mr. Crocker’s fifth grade class, and rides a tiny children’s bicycle to school. Timmy’s arrested development stems from his desire to keep his fairies for as long as possible. “Da Rules” state that every child must eventually give up his or her Fairy Godparents when they become an adult, but Timmy has found a loophole around this rule by acting like a child. However, when Tootie (Daniella Monet), a dorky girl who’s always had a crush on Timmy, returns to town as a beautiful and smart woman, Timmy finds himself having very adult feelings for her, and must come to a decision whether to grow up, or act like a child and keep the fairy family he has known for so long. In the meantime, Hugh J. Magnate (Steven Weber), a larger-than-life oil tycoon, turns his attention to capturing Timmy’s fairies and using their power to fuel his maniacal ambition.
From a panel at SDCC, footage from the live action Fairly Oddparents movie A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up Timmy Turner! is shown, with some comments by the director. This footage is amazing, especially when Timmy Turner gives the overacting teacher atomic diarrhea! This will be the best movie ever!
The live-action Fairly Oddparents movie – A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up Timmy Turner! – released this shot of Jason Alexander and Cheryl Hines done up as the Fairy Godparents Cosmo and Wanda. This is truly bizarre territory, people! Is it too soon to use the phrase “Fail-y Oddparents”? We shall see, Nickelodeon, we shall see…
