They must be mentally ill. Or just fucking crazy. In any event, even in the worst of times, you will always have a right wing jackoff saying horrible things on the internet. Welcome to reality! So after you’ve donated to the Red Cross, read up on some things that will make you lose faith in humanity. REMEMBER TO DONATE FIRST, because some of you might not have the stomach to afterwards. You have been warned.
I will start this out with something I have never been able to truthfully say: The crazy posts you will see here are in the minority, and actually had a few people calling them out for being so damn awful. Not many, and not all, but some.

I was shocked at Pat Robertson, until I remembered that just saying you have Christian values does not make you a Christian. I was at LiveLeak and was appalled by some comments there, as well. And they are usually the sanest forums I’ve found.
Humanitarian aid is to benefit humans, and I believe that every one is a brother or sister. I also believe in the UN Rights of a Child declaration. (Here’s a link if you don’t know what I’m talking about:http://www.unicef.org/rightsite/files/uncrcchilldfriendlylanguage.pdf) For the children of Haiti, I’ll be giving $$. But not to the Red Cross, through my church. We have one of the best and quietest humanitarian relief organizations in the world. It is run continuously and does not use outside funding. We work with groups already in place in the location; in the Tsunami we worked with the Red Crescent, because the country was predominately Muslim. We also ask first what supplies are needed and send those goods, not money. This assures what is needed is there, not waiting to be bought or embezzled. We supply clean water AND water filtration to use what is there, food, shelter, and medical goods. I trust them.
So, for the children of Haiti give, but give carefully.
